Hi don't really know what to do, have been suffering with panic since feb, got better for a couple of months and now is back again. Im really scared about getting back to that place where i dont want to leave the house. Im in a nervous state constantly, losing weight and having panic attacks when im out of the house. All i panic about is having a panic attack, i need to plan everything i do so i can get out if i need too! ive done online cbt which hasnt worked for me, ive got beta blockers but theyre horrible to take. Is it possible to get through this without meds and do you think this is severe anxiety, this is all new too me i dont know what to do and feel a total failure as a mum x

Hi Lisa

My advice is stay clear of the meds, I think taking them adds problems from what I read on here. You mentioned about losing weight, maybe you have discovered some miracle weight loss scheme !!!!!! Joking aside I would say you are simply fearing the fear, classic with panic attack sufferers, and I would not class this as "severe" so get inline with the rest of us millions of panic people. There is a ton of great material out there that can help loads, three years ago I almost have up my career, last year I flew to Hong Kong alone, and not a pill in sight. So yes you can get through this.

p.s the fact your here making posts proves you are not a failure as a mum.

good look dude
