For 15 months ive only had 1 period, which was (6 months ago), im 33, and have had three children (youngest is 4) and one miscarriage ( 7yrs ago). Ive always had long cycled periods and I bleed usual for 6 days and spotting exactly half way around ovulation
Over the last two years ive suffered pelvic pain, but its been put down to kidney stones and anxiety.
5 weeks ago I experienced the worst pelvic/ hip pain which lasted about 8 hours, then again two weeks later, almost went to a&e but didnt as eased hours later. In between times I have paon in my right pelvic area and back and hip and I can feel something when I bend or twist, it hurts and I get a bit of pain in my right leg.
I had a ultrasound to check for stones yesterdau and the sonographer spotted what he said was large cyst on my right ovary, but couldnt give me any more info as he didnt specialise in lady departments. So hes booked me in for another scan in two days.
So, having health anxiety I am absolutely petrified I have cancer and cannot function cuz of worry....
Anyone been thru anything similar ?? All comments are welcome thankyouxx

I've had quite a lot of cysts and whilst I can't comment on this one, I would say that technicians can pretty much tell the difference between a cyst and cancer on a scan. Besides, ovarian cysts are so so common...

Pain in the leg is quite a common symptom with ovarian cysts. They can twist if they are big enough and give the kind of pain you describe.

This is NOT an attempt at diagnosing you, just to reassure you that it could simply be a cyst.

Please keep us posted. x
