breathing & chest discomfort

have had a great few months - had no internet so apologise 1st for my absence

since yesterday i have strange breathing problems, feels like im struggling for breath but not gasping if that makes sense

also have a heaviness in my chest and occasional shooting pain in left side of chest , heaviness is all over

did have a bad chest cough 10 days ago and still have a bit of a cough but dont no if this is the cause (i do live in spain and currently 30 celcius but it had been over 40 for weeks and no problems at all)

would appreciate any advice

Try and distract yourself as much as possible until you stop thinking and worrying about your breathing, and remember that it is an automatic function. The pain is probably related to your stomach as the nerves run upwards in to the chest.

I'm having the same thing, feeling like I'm not getting enough breath but I'm not gasping, I'm breathing normally but it doesn't feel sufficient. Kind of doesn't make sense, but it's what my brain is telling me!

was better yesterday so hopefully to do with a chest infection
