Hi,
I recently been promoted at work and whilst this is really positive, it's really bought out my anxiety. It's a very different role, with a lot more responsibility than before. I've always wanted to do a role like this so I'm really pleased and excited about it but the change of it all whilst I'm settling into it has made me feel anxious. It's just a knot of tension that feels like its going to overwhelm me at any moment and I just can't relax or settle.
Ultimately I know that it's the anxiety that causing the intrusive thoughts, but they're so unrelated it makes me fear that the thoughts I'm having are real. I could just do with some reassurance before it all escalates and I lose control completely! (what little I feel I have) :lac:
