You can't help but get paranoid when you see everyday this and that can cause cancer and that you must eat 5 portions of veg a day or you'll get it. My ex father in law died of lung cancer 3 weeks ago aged 62 and he was only diagnosed 4 months ago, he gave up smoking 15 years ago yet still got it. You hear of people abusing their bodies all their lives and never get it. I think some of us have a dodgy gene that makes us more predisposed to getting cancer and we should try not to worry about it too much otherwise it'll take over your whole life.

i suffer terrible anxiety at the moment convincing myself i have breast cancer.
thinking about it tho, it sure dosn't help in that every where you turn, or in every magazine you open there is always something written or shown.

so yes maybe we should continue to self exam, but maybe with it being advertised everywhere it does actually heighten our anxieties...
