I'm too scared to take medication but I want to.

Hello,

Last year around this time I had a very bad experience on Citalopalm. It caused me to have derealization and depersonalisation which I still have now. My anxiety is at an all time high, I'm panicking about everything and I need to do something now. I'm physically and mentally drained.
But I'm too scared to go on medication because of my bad experience.
I just dot know what to do!!

Hi Hannah, I think I can remember you from last year and your bad citalopram experience. Cit is an SSRI so maybe you are intolerant to them, but there are other types of medication you could ask for instead, such as an SRNI like venlafaxine or even one of the old-style TCA meds might suit you better. It's best to discuss it with your doctor. :)
