Hello, I have been on citalopram for about two years. Originally on 20g going up to 40g and gradually reducing to 20g again. However, my mom has been told her cancer has returned and the outlook is not looking good at all. I simply can not cope.
I returned to the doctors, who upped my citalopram to 40g and gave me zoplicone to sleep. These did not work so returned to doctor to be given 40g fluoxetine and 2 mg diazepam. The doctor suggested I take the fluoxetine at bed time. I go to sleep for about four hours, wake up and am very anxious and agitated. This continues for about four/five hours where I am tired but can only sleep for ten minutes at a time.
When I wake I feel panic and extreme anxiety for my mom but know I need to be there for her. I spend most of my day with her and need to be able to help her not have her worried for me. Can any one suggest what time of day I should take the fluoxetine tablets. Sorry for such a long first post. I would be grateful for any suggestions
