I posted last week about smear results and being cn2. Tomorrow is the day. I am petrified of hospitals and am really nervous. Hope I don't have a bloody panic attack, I'd be so embarrassed

try and not think about having a panic attack as it could trigger one off, i do this quite oftain and the more worried you get the worse it is, my trick is having one before i have an mri, i clever like that!! Is it just a consulatation tomorrow or are you having any tests, i am thinking maths english you know, sorry i am trying to make you laugh thats my escape mechanisum, pm me if you like blessings

Good luck for today.

I have been where you are and it really was no worse than having a smear test. The staff were lovely and put my mind at ease.

They seen panic attacks all the time xx

Honestly, you'll be absolutely fine hun :)

The nurses will understand that you'll be anxious and they will do all they can to put your mind at ease :)

I hate hospitals too hun, so I understand what you're saying but if you're anything like me, the anticipation anxiety is much worse than when you're actually there and doing it :) :hugs:

You're not a wimp at all hun. I was very frightened too when I was waiting to have mine done, it's just fear of the unknown hun :)

When you get in the room, the nurse will be there to help you, they are very good hun, it's all going to be fine :hugs:

Hey sparkle; I am glad you feel better about it. Those aches & pains.... well quite frankly bearing in mind they will have pulled you about a bit and you had a procedure in, shall we say, a delicate area.... it doesnt surprise me you had aches & pains. All the stress leading up to this and the energy you will have used just to get through the day.... well no wonder you were tired, achy & had pains. Any person who went through yesterday alone would have felt like that. Dont underestimate what you went through. It wasnt just a plaster on a cut was it? And, if it had been me, well having someone had to do that in my nether regions (no matter how kind in their manner & gentle physically) I'd have been stressed about the whole thing. You did so well. I feel that because you have contended with your HA before, you know the deal. You know what works for you. Now, gradually you can build up those helpful habits again. I feel you will get there. Sending you reassuring and supportive hugs my friend. x

There you go, it's all over and done with now hun :)

Regarding your aches and pains, I agree with Tessar :)

You have probably been so stiff with anxiety for a while leading up to yesterday, we don't realise that we're tensing all of our muscles up when we're anxious, it's just your body having a moan at you now hun, try to do a little relaxation and concentrate on getting your muscles nice and relaxed again, then you feel much better hun :hugs:
