ear pain on waking

Help I now have severe ear pain-deep inside in both ears. It began with just one side when lying on it-now even when on my back . lack of sleep is bad enough.nothing helps it. Worried as throat sore to swallow on one side for ages now. wonder if meno could be a cause. looked up tmj but surely would have had pain before now. Did have symptoms of ear infection early in year in one ear. but why have I now got it in both?

ALWAYS see the GP - don't mess around with your ears. I have had ongoing infections in both ears for months now, have had all sorts of meds. Last week I had severe pain and headache and although I felt 'stupid' going back to the doctor, but I did so - to find my eardrum had burst.

Maybe yours have. It will get better if so, but you need to get them checked anyway.
