Hi, I am new to this. I am on here not about me but my 15 year old son, I really think he has depression and panic attacks. In the past year I have taken him to the hospital because he says he can't breath and he doesn't want to die, they tell me that there is nothing wrong with him that they think he is just depressed, which I have noticed once I get him calmed down he gets better. Now he is telling me that he doesn't like to eat because he feels like he is going to choke to death, he also doesn't sleep much because he says that he thinks of bad things. Do you have any suggestions

welcome.
This is so typical of panic attacks, however you could suggest that he have an extra pillow to prop him up a bit in the night. Have a notepad by his bed to write these things down when he thinks them and tell himself he will deal with it in the morning, now is not the time, to read when he wakes till he is sleepy, get up and have a drink of water, have a plan as what to do, these night terrors are so common, "there is no time darker than the middle of the night1 Keep going and reassure him, even offer to sleep in his room for a few nights, keep us posted.

there's a place that I dream of when I sleep, so peaceful, so quite, I call it mother earth.
