I have been carrying stress and tension in my throat and chest area. Anyone have any advice on how I can stop. I mainly do it when I am working or in stressful situations. I have been having a hard time working when this is happening to me. Any advice or tips would be appreciated.

TIA
Peggy:D

Hi,

I can relate to you. My tension is always in my jaw. I am always clenching. My psychologist recommended I buy Eli Bay's "Let Go" and "Sleep" CD's. He has a really calming voice and takes you through breathing and relaxation exercises. He goes through all areas of your body and tells you to let go of the tension and stress. I have just started it and feel much better. I hope this helps.

Take care,

Michelle

Hi Peggy and welcome to the site.

Have you tried doing breathing exercises on a regular basis?

Also, visualisation and music can help.
