If you had it done last week you would probably of heard by now if there was anything wrong. If your ECG was fine then it's unlikely that it was your heart causing the problems.

Hi

You seem to have been posting similar symtoms and fears going back a number of years now.

Have you every approached your doctor for help with your health anxiety? I only ask as this would appear to be at the root of your problem rather than your heart.

Apologies if you have already done this it is hard to find in amongst all the posts.

In the short time I've been on the boards, I've seen the same thing.

Absolutely it matters! Obviously, you are rational enough to know what's going on and that it's HA that's affecting you. Regardless of a Mom or Dad, you have the power to make a decision as to how to approach this issue. A Mom or a Dad wouldn't make a difference in solving HA. You can continue to let it control your life or seek help to help control this beast!

I totally understand having an outlet for your fears and feelings but one must take affirmative action to alleviate these fears. Seeking affirmation on an anxiety forum won't get you there.

Good Luck!

Bev

I know you are suffering but I have offered you loads of advice and tips and suggestions on what it could be and you ignore them all

So I gave up replying to you as you never acknowledged them

I wish you well but you do need to take control of your own life and deal with the anxiety issues - not that you will read this and listen to me anyway

Just read the last two comments and feel quite offended. Yes I do suffer with HA but my cardio doc has referred me for these tests I never asked him too. I thought this forum was open for people to give advice and for I to respond. Ive met some great people on here made many friends and Nicola ive never ignored your comments always read what u said. U don't have to reply to my posts if u don't like what im saying.

Like Pacer said, if there had been any problems with your results I am sure you would have heard by now and if the ecg had shown any problems they would not have sent you home. Hopefully you will get the results soon and then you must be reassured by them and try not to keep worrying so much about it. :hugs:

I want you to get better. Sometimes I have been the only one that has replied to you.

I suggested several things it could be other than a heart condition and I asked that you suggest these to the doctor but you never reply to me.

If people feel like they are hitting their heads against a brick wall then they stop replying and you lose the support.

It is about give and take at the end of the day.

People are trying to help Bev that is all.

I want you to get better and not have the chest pains so why not ask the doctor about the other things I suggested it could be and see what they say.

An ecg gives results right away so if it had seen anything bad they would not have let you go home.

I hope your other results come back ok and you also get some help for the HA too. TC.

Just to let you know...

Bev had an abnormal ECG hence she had an echo scan and now a CT scan as well.

She has had the chest pains on and off for over 5 years though

Thanks Nicola. I should have read that thread first I think!

Bev,

I think the only way you are going to get some resolution to your worry is to sit down with your GP and discuss this. I am unclear as to whether you are under a specialist still or at all, otherwise I would say you need to discuss what is happening exactly with them. Has anyone said from the horse's mouth what the story is with your heart health?

I am pretty sure that something would be being done further if any concerns were had. Your doctor will have been sent full info from the hospital as standard after you being seen there, but as I say, i don't know what has been said to you by whom or what is fully occuring. There are a lot of posts on your original thread, and my brain is a wee bit addled right now to follow it, but I can see that you have received a lot of very good advice and experience from others.

I hope you don't leave the site over this. I think people are just a bit frustrated for you maybe that you are finding it hard to take on board their reassurance, that's all, but clearly so many people would like and have offered to support and advise you, and that is worth remembering and sticking around for.

All the best.:hugs:

I do give and take Nicola

You really don't I'm afraid anx mum - you never offer anybody else any advice and only ever post on your own threads. There's not much wrong with that except that you persistently ignore all the great advice you get given on them. It makes you look rude and selfish.

I think you are taking some very caring people for granted and I think they are beginning to see it.

People will end up not replying to you at all in the end. But then perhaps that might be the best outcome for your health in the long run.

The beauty of a forum like this is one has the freedom to respond regardless if they agree or disagree with the poster.

I have no apology for being blunt and honest. The fact of the matter is that you've been posting about the same issues for 3+ years. I responded to the original thread in a positive and encouraging way and there was no response nor ANY response to what anyone wrote. When looking back over past posts, the pattern was the same.

If indeed there is an issue with your heart, what are you going to do? You'll have to deal with it. I've had two heart attacks, surgeries out the wazoo and cancer. Guess what? You deal with it or give up. Those are your choices, anxiety or not!

Sometimes a cyber smack upside the head is needed to get someone to open their eyes. Don't like what you see? Change it! You have a choice. Deal with your issues or allow them to consume you, your family and your life.

As has been said, soon enough the "cry wolf" syndrome will kick in and no one will pay attention. Yes, this site is for support and encouragement for those with worries and anxieties. However, when you continue to ignore the good intentions and advice of others and refuse to help yourself, sooner or later people will react either by not responding or calling you out.

Good Luck!
