Another newbie

Like many others I've found myself here - and glad that I have.

Recently diagnosed with anxiety disorder/depression and trying to keep a grip on ... not sure what. I'm certainly trying to stop my sub-conscious being in charge.

Hope to find some help and support, and also to give as much back :)

Sparkle - I've started on Prozac today. I know I'm going to feel (probably at least) worse before it kicks in but I'm ready for that. As for therapy (finally!!) I'm going to be starting on long-term CBT - probably 2 to 3 years of it.

I have a long history of horrible trauma/s and had a breakdown about 12 years ago. I was given Prozac but nothing else. Time's passed, other stuff's happened, then I was told I have this freckle thing in my eye on Saturday and it will either be fine or turn cancerous. Either way it needs monitoring - and that's what sent me over the edge.

I have to say my doctor was fantastic when I tipped up then broke down this morning.
