Help me refrain from visiting dr. google

For the past month I been having a reocurring sore throat when I swallow that comes and goes for several days. When it first started I thought I was getting a cold, but the cold never happened. My fear is it will be throat cancer or something bad. I dont think I have allergies or acid reflux, although I have pets and am congested at night with a lot of post nasal drip. Would someone please knock sense in me before my mind starts latching onto grim thoughts?

Post nasal drip can definitely irritate your throat if it's dripping down all night long.

But if you're having a reoccuring problem you should really talk to your doctor about it, they're the only one who can give you a proper diagnosis.
