I went for a walk today in the park and there was a family crossing a bridge. It was a small bridge with a stone wall on either side. A small stream ran about 10 feet below into the main river just downstream. The wall wasn't high, maybe 2 feet high, although the drop to the stream below would probably have caused a nasty or serious injury.
The little boy, maybe 6 years old, tried to walk along the wall but got too afraid and jumped down. The little boy shouted to his mum "I'm scared". The mother said "well don't climb on it in then". Then the little boy said something that made my heart open and brought a smile to my face. He said "No, I don't want to be afraid. I'm going to do it again." And he did.
Beautiful.
