Roof of mouth

Hi, I went to the dentist a month go, I mentioned to them that the roof of my mouth feels rough, like scrapped, she said she can't see anything, and it's actually driving me mad because I keep touching the area with my tongue and now it seems as though the roughness has spread to the other side? Should I go to the dentist again ? What should I do?
