Strained throat?

Earlier I was drinking some orangeade and some accidentally went down the wrong pipe. First reaction was to cough and I obviously coughed way too hard.

My throat felt stunned and incredibly painful all over and hurt when I moved my neck around. I could swallow and talk fine, it just really hurt and took a few minutes to calm down.

It really really hurt and now i'm worrying about whether i'm gonna wake up with a swelled up throat or i'm gonna get throat cancer or something like that :(

Can anyone reassure me with something?

Sounds normal to me, when you cough lots and hard then you will make your neck throat hurt.

you will not wake up with a swollen throat, the pain was just you puling your neck throat from coughing

yep completely normal, it will settle down if it hasn't already

It settled ages ago.

Like 10 minutes after it happened, it was completely gone

Coughing cannot cause throat cancer. Everyone coughs. I chocked on a paracetamol this morning and had to cough hard to move it. I am absolutely fine and you are too! You'll be alive to see tomorrow and you won't wake up with a swollen throat.
