Feel like I want to scratch my skin off!

Since march 2012 ( around the time my anxiety over lymphoma started ) I have been itching like mad every six weeks or so it drives me insane !!


surprisingly I have sensibly linked it to every time I have a bad phase of anxiety .


So I am in work today shattered after itching all night !


Is it possible that anxiety really causes this itching ? I just find it hard to believe and that it's not lymphoma progressing through my body . Which would probably be far advanced after a year and a half so I have no chance :(

I had a bout of this a couple of years ago. And I literally did scratch my skin off! I had no idea I was doing it, I just felt really itchy and then all of a sudden I'd feel blood!

Probably is an anxiety thing, though I don't know what the actual mechanism is. Mine went away after a while and I'm fine now.
