Petrified of taking any meds

Hi, everyone. I've been struggling with the fear of having a heart attack. But I know Im Not. But I have stomach problems and IBS. So the pain in my breast bone for me is unbearable sometimes. This I turn brings me down. And the fear of a heart problems to the for. Most of the meds for depression and anxiety show that it can bring on arrhythmias or other heart problems. I was on mirtrazapine for 4 months on the lowest foes but I came of it because of fear and weight gain. Then I fear a heart attack because of weight issues and cholesterol. Please help.

Have you looked into CBT? That appears to be by far the most effective way of managing anxieties/phobias. They can teach you how to be a rational observer and look at the evidence scientifically.

Yes I gave just finished a my last session of CBT. Did not find it helpful at all. She delved into my last. I believe it is based on changing thoughts of the present.
