I've been getting arthritis both knees. Been taking glucosamine about 2 wks ago but understand it can take 4-6 wks to get into system . Does anyone know if glucosamine works & any other natural remedies? Makes me anxious because I don't want it to get worse where I can't walk. Thank You .

Hi Violet,

I have arthritis in my shoulders and lower back. I took Glucosamine/Chondroitin for many years (unfortunately had to stop taking it due to cancer treatment and subsequent swallowing issues... those pills are HUGE!). I can tell you first hand they helped but it does take a couple of months to see the benefits. I'm going to look for an alternative pill (i.e. smaller) as my joints are screaming these days!
