anyone ever had breathlessness from beta blockers

im trying to work out why im so short of breath. it seems to have worsened since i upped my propanolol dosage.

i take about 160mg a day.
I've heard bbs can cause bronchospasm in asthmatics but i don't have asthma.

i was worried it could be my heart or lungs but they've been checked.

i don't think the breathlessness is caused by anxiety but it does seem to be getting worse.

Yes, it's a possible side effect. I have a family member who also developed shortness of breath since starting a beat blocker over a year ago.

Yes, I take beta blockers due to my heart condition. Due to the fact that they prevent your heart from beating too fast, you can feel winded or breathless when your body can't get enough oxygen when exerting yourself. You should consult your doctor and see if he can adjust the dosage to lessen that side effect if it's hindering you too much.
