Worried about this blood test! Anylase.

Doc is sending me for Anylase test which I looked up on google and found out its for Pancreas problems:weep: now Im really worried, anyone else had one?

Hi I am not sure why your GP is sending you for this blood test, but I have had amylase and lipase levels checked for my pancreas several times. As far as I know it is a fairly standard blood test and nothing to worry about.

Thanks for replying, its just that Ive had lots of blood tests recently and they have never asked for this one:ohmy:

Did your GP say why they were sending you for this ? , first time I had it done it was amongst a lot of others , liver function, full blood count, thyroid , I had no symptoms relating to pancreas but my GP wanted to run a full set of bloods for me.
