Is it possible for your voice to get very hoarse during a panic attack? The other night I woke up around midnight feeling like my throat was swelling up rapidly and I had a major panic attack that I thought was anaphylaxis. My voice became extremely hoarse during this time and went away gradually over the next 24 hours. After the ambulance came (around half hour later) it seemed to get a bit better and they left thinking it was just a panic attack. The swelling and hoarseness subsided over the night and into the next day.

Does anyone else ever have this happen? I am so worried that I actually had an anaphylactic reaction and that this wasn't just a panic attack. I feel like since my voice got so hoarse so quickly that there HAD to be swelling in my throat to make that happen. My anxiety over allergies/anaphylaxis is out of control already and this episode did not help one bit. Any thoughts or comments? Can a panic attack do this to a person's voice? Thank you!
