Hi,

Most of us on this website, check for lumps and if your like me, panic and then the anxiety levels rise.

I was wondering, what peoples advice would be for the following to help me :-

When is a lump serious and needs doctors advice.

Hi Red (My High School mascot was the Red Devils! [8D] )

I would say any new lump is worthy of a look, but from what I understand, the hard immoveable ones are more suspect than the softer ones that can be shifted about.

Hi Red,

Im always checking for lumps, and have been to the doctors numorous times to have them looked at, but they are always little cysts which soon go, i think you should always get checked out if a lump appears.

Hope that helps

Alot of lumps and bumps show up for no real reason, some stay and some go within a matter of weeks. It really depends on how long you've had the lump,is it getting bigger?or any change at all?...If you are worried about it maybe you should have it looked at by you're gp just to put you're mind at rest.
