Hello,
I've been taking Citalopram 20mg for 6 weeks now. At first my anxeity spiked but then settled down. However as time as gone on, I'm finding that I'm wanting to go to the toilet more which is bothersome. I'm also starting to feel "disconnected" during the day, having difficulty getting to sleep at night and I'm having extremely vivid dreams.
I have a follow up appointment with a psychiatrist in just over two weeks time. However i was wanting to bring the appointment forward to discuss the issues I'm having with the medication. I phoned around yesterday and the psychiatrist's secretary told me they are on holiday this week and have a full clinic next week. I asked if I could speak with my consultant over the phone and they said they would ask but the consultant may refuse to call back since my appointment was close.
Does this sound reasonable? I can appreciate that they are extremely busy, but am I asking too much to speak to the consultant over the phone? :weep:
