Hi

I used to have muscle spasms quite a bit but not lately. Last night I woke up to what felt like muscle spasms on the left hand side of my chest for a few seconds. But as I was half asleep and went straight back to sleep I can't remember exactly. Now I'm worried because I was not aware and did not feel pulse that it may have been palpitations. There's always something. I had a small ECG about 3 months ago and there was nothing wrong. I'm 29 and don't want this fear again. Plus sounds silly, but just had my operation. Do they monitor your heart whilst operating therefore able to pick up something. Can anyone help

Hey Sean,

Yes, when you're in surgery you're hooked up to heart monitors and such. They would notice if something was amiss. You've had these before and know what's up ;) You'll be fine.

Yep they would definitely have picked up a heart problem Sean

Even if you did have a few palpitations, they are so common with anxiety.

Hang on in there babe, you're doing great

Indeed you both are and both will. Sean, sounds to me like Fishman's post is spot on. View this as a blip and trust that you will ride it out.
