Changed from citralopram to Mirtazapine n not coping

Hiya,

I really need to talk to someone n some advice.
Last thursday I stopped my citralopram n started Mirtazapine. Since then I've felt extremely irritable, angry, feel like crying, dizzy spells n everything is just really annoying me. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this?
Is this because I have stopped the citralopram or a side affect of the Mirtazapine?
Should I stop the Mirtazapine? Should I go back to my citralopram or stop antidepressants altogether?

Sounds like a combination of citalopram withdrawal and the start-up effects from the mirtazapine. Why did you change and what were you originally prescribed the citalopram for?
