Hi all!
I'm Megan, I'm a 26yo from New Zealand. I'm an undergrad student at University (Politics!) and a single parent.
I was led to this site after googling for experiences of people taking fluoxetine.
I'm a long time sufferer of GAD, but only officially diagnosed and medicated since 2011.
I was on beta-blockers for 2 years (Nov 2011 to 8 or so days ago) as I felt like I needed something that wouldn't have a chance of 'altering' who I was, and had less side effects (as a parent, drugs that had potential side effects that may make me unable to function as a parent scared the crap out of me). Recently, I decided to bite the bullet as the BB's really weren't enough anymore and my Dr had me start taking Fluoxetine. I'm only on day 8, but feel so much better already with very minimal side effects. :yesyes:
Anyway, I look forward to participating in the forums!
