Yes it is still used. Approximately 22,000 people receive ECT treatment in the UK every year.

Yes I can add they still use ECT as a treatment nowadays.

I would definetly be discussing what other options are suitable for you with your psychiatrist as there are other therapies and medication which could be tried first.
