Hi I'm new to the site and not sure if this should go in phobias or HA. I have to travel for work to areas where dengue fever and other mosquito born diseases are prevalent. I am almost completely unable to function while travelling now. I constantly fear being bitten by mosquitos and even though I liberally apply deet still manage to catch a few bites. As soon as I am bitten I am unable to think rationally, my thoughts are consumed with fear of contracting dengue or malaria. I can barely sleep and can hardly think straight the entire time I am travelling. Outside of this I suffer form panic attacks and HA (primary fears are serious contagious illnesses like meningitis or other insect bites like black widows). Just needed to type this out and would appreciate any advice. Things have been made worse by dengue epidemics in singapore and india while I was travelling this year. I don't know how much more I can take but I can't let me life be ruined by anxiety.
