Has anyone had any experience with meditation's effects on health anxiety?
Success stories, or just some general information on it would be great.

Any other ideas for alternative therapies, remedies or medicines are welcomed to chime in :)

Meditation is a proven way to reduce stress and anxiety, as well as improve physical health. It takes as little as 10 minutes a day to start seeing benefits. It kicks your parasympathetic nervous system into action, which is the part of your nervous system that relaxes you and helps you combat anxiety.

I meditate in some form every day, it helps enormously, I'm a calmer person with it.

I recommend a book called Soul Centered by Sarah McClean for an easy to digest explanation of meditation, the science behind it and the different ways to practice it.

Any complementary health practice that helps you to relax deeply is beneficial, it's the relaxation that you really need and often exploring a spiritual path through these therapies can add to your sense of wellness and satisfaction with life.

Yoga is especially good for anxiety sufferers, the focus on the body and breath is just what we need to take us away from worry and fear. I always feel amazing after a yoga class, no matter how bad I felt before going in. And while I'm practising my mind is calm and focused on what's happening rather than on worries.
