im really down at the moment and so upset with myself .this year has been hard recovering from major brain sugry last dec physicaly im doing well but my anxiety has got worsr through the year .the reason I had a brain abcess was because of the damage I did to my ear through self harming .I got a letter to go into hospital on the 18thforan angiogram and I am petrified and ive started to self harm again .im not new to anxiety but im 60 I have a nurse she has spoken to my gp im seeing him on Monday what on earth is happening to me

Don't be disgusted with yourself, anxiety is really hard to deal with.
Be honest with your gp on Monday, and take it from there. Are you on meds and getting therapy?

hi there thank you for your reply,im on 30mg of seroxat and 2mg of valium twice a day.ive been on seroxat about 3 months now but it isn't helping much . I also have a nurse who comes to see me every 2 weeks how are you

You've been through a tough time with the brain surgery.

Chat to your doc about the seroxat - I'm not sure how long it should take to kick in.
