Over the last four weeks I have CBT to help me reduced my worries about my fears of the big c word (mainly cancer, disease etc.)

I am still very fearful of my health and very scared I have got something, I worry about every ache, pain, mark etc. I can't stopped looking at my poop and urine (because I worry about cancer, bladder, kidney, bowel, pancreatic, stomach etc.)

I am still scared that I have something wrong with me, even though my fear and worries have been around bowel, pancreatic cancer, stomach cancer, testicular cancer etc. and had several scans abdominal ultrasound which also covered my bladder and kidneys. A ct scan of my abdominal which probably took some more of my organs in, plus mri scan of abdominal and the camera job of the sigmoidoscopy which was not very nice.

I am going to be 30 next weekend, so me fears are going to be increased because an age rise of one year from 29 to 30. I am also scared of lung cancer even though I don't smoke.

Keep working at it Phil. Glad to see you're getting CBT as it's helped many here. Your own determination and desire to be free from these fears will be an asset to getting well.

Thank you for your reply Fishmanpa.

All the scans I have had came back with no signs of worry, just a small chance of that thingy of a pouch on the small bowel, which may be need removing or just monitoring.

I been in a right panic about cancer since 2011 which started pains in the leg muscles from walking in snow from the footie (soccer) match I stupidly google and came up which none cancer and had appointments at walk in centre and GP and it just went on from than. 40 GPs ,specialist of colon area etc and a few trips to the opticians.

I think from 2011 up to sometime in November 2013 I have googled and been on the bad sites (daily mail, looking up cancer symptoms because I am so scared I got something wrong with me) reading about stats, must be very close to 3,000 times or more likely over that.

Dang! Google is like meth and heroin isn't it? You get addicted and it gets worse and worse. I wonder is there's a site called "The faces of Google" like they have for meth.... it's frightening what it does to anxiety sufferers

You're definitely taking positive steps with CBT so jeep on going and change that behavior! It's certainly not doing you any favors!
