Women Problems - Bleeding -HELP!

I had a pap smear two days ago and the last two days I have notice some light spotting and cramping - and of course the first thing I think is Cancer. Can anyone relate? I am freaking out, I am trying to be calm, but it's hard. I am only 36 years old.

It is quite normal to bleed after a smear test. I have done in the past.

Don't worry - it isn't cancer.

it is sometimes common for people to bleed after there smear test if it gets any more worse go back to the doctors or even the a and e or ring them for there advice

This is a common effect that a lot of people suffer from, it should settle down in a few days , if not get it checked out to put your mind at rest, but it defo won't be cancer. xx

i also have bleeding after a pap test and i bleed when they do it .
i was told it was ok and not to stress about it .
and when they do the test i do know that they have a lokk at the cervix to see if every thing looks ok .

Hi I bled after my smear test to. The nurse said some women do and its nothing to worry about.
