Enchanced CBT for Health Anxiety

Hi All,

I told everyone I was taking a break from this but rather than posting for reassurance I was hoping someone could help.

I have just got off the phone to the Mental Health Nurse who did a new assessment for me. Surprise surprise I have severe anxiety levels and which was actually a surprise was moderate depression levels..

Now she has recommended medication but I am still undecided by that but she has also referred me for Enhanced CBT or CBT-E I've never heard of this and was hoping someone could tell me what it is?

Has anyone heard of this? Sorry to pester you all, just hoping it will help :)

I looked this up and it seems it has been developed specifically for treating eating disorders. If you don't have an eating disorder then maybe they are rolling this kind of CBT out for more general anxiety disorders.
