Please read and reply I am very worried

Please I need advice do you think blood work, bone scan, ct scan, MRI and regular x ray would miss bone cancer on an ankle? My son had all these tests done and they say ossification but he hada hockey tournament this weekend and the lump looks huge! I am so worried

I'm sorry you're feeling so worried. In my opinion, from what you've described, you have nothing to worry about. If the doctor ran all those tests and told you it's ossification, I would trust that he knows what's he's doing and that's what it is.

Thank you for your reply, I think most of it is I don't really understand what ossification is and if it gets bigger when irritated? It seems like his hockey skates rub it but I just am worried its cancer

I would call the doctor and ask him to explain to you exactly what it is and what to expect. From what I understand it's the formation of new bone but I don't really know either! Have him explain it to you until you're satisfied with the answer, that's his job :)
