Do any of you ever get tests done that you wish you hadn't as the results can make your anxiety worse?
I have just paid for a private blood test to screen for toxoplasmosis as I would like to have another baby but have a fear of this as my son was born with disabilities as I caught an infection whilst pregnant with him.
I am due to get the results in a few days and I am terrified. I have read online that this test can sometimes be unreliable - getting false positives etc. I know im not immune to it as I had a test on the NHS in jan this year which came back negative - so why couldn't I just leave it at that.
I bring this all on myself and feel awful - I don't know what to do.
