Rectal Ache

This is a new one on me !. Has anyone experienced a kind of dull ache only with BM.. You know when you give that little push..not there any other time.Could it be related to either trapped wind or maybe a sciatic nerve irritation ? Thanks .

It could well be piles, which are really unlikely to be serious but it would be a great idea to get them checked. There are things you can be given which really help. If you don't get it treated, it will gradually get more painful.

The most important thing you can do is make sure your stools aren't hard, so drink lots of fluids and eat lots of fibre. But do get checked - doctors are really SO used to it and they are really pleased whenpeople take bowel/backside symptoms seriously.
