Hi everybody!
This is the first time I've posted here so bear with me!

Last year I found a small lump in my vagina, I was referred to a gynaecologist who diagnosed it as an inclusion cyst( due to childbirth) & decided to leave it be. Apart from being mildly painful sometimes it didn't really bother me.
Anyway recently I've had a kidney infection & just the other day while wiping the area I found a hard lump just on the inside of my butt cheek. Obviously I freaked out & went to doc who said its a swollen lymph node & could possibly be due to my cyst. I am worried out of my mind about this. Do you think my cyst could be something sinister & has spread? I asked my doc if it's cancer & she said no but we'll keep an eye on it:(

I'm so worried. Has anyone else had anything similar? I'm sorry for the rambling post.

If the doc was worried then you have been sent right away to hospital . trust the doc

Thanks for replying. I know, tbh I was reassured coming out of the doctors then as a soon as I got home I started thinking why does she want to keep an eye on it if it's not serious? Then my mind jumps immediately to it must be cancer & now I'm worried sick

i had exactly the same experience. Doctor said mole was a little different but nothing to worry about and we will "keep an eye on it"

was fine leaving the doctors but then it faded and googled it to death until i nearly had a panic attack. went to specialist and he said it was fine . To be honest im still not back to 100% but getting there

If i can help you to avoid what i went through then i will but its so difficult for you to believe me ! i know how you feel!

If you think a referral will help then get one but it probably wont! get off google and relax - go for a chinese tonight :-)

"Keep an eye on it" means the doctor is doing what a good doctor is supposed to be doing. If she said don't worry about it, you would be worried why she didn't say she'll "keep an eye on it". ;)

I currently have two swollen lymph nodes in my neck. I saw one doctor which initially panicked, but since i saw another doctor. She told me that they can swell up due to infection and never go back down again. I am still going for an neck ultrasound, but i am more positive it's not as sinister as initially though.
I suppose the point i am trying to make is that the majority of lymph nodes are nothing if they are not widespread.

Lymph nodes need to be huge to be considered dangerous

Also hard , immovable lumps are bad.

Not directed at you OP

Most hard lumps are cysts

Trust your doctor, if they said it was nothing to worry about, then it's certainly nothing to worry about.

Thank you all for your replies and reassurance.

I've calmed down a little today I'm just really worried now it's not going to go away.

I forgot to mention I have a chest infection at the moment- could that cause a lymph node in my groin to swell? I'm worried now I've had it for ages & just didn't notice :(

I've had it for ages & just didn't notice :(

If it's been there for ages then it can't be sinister can it? ;)
