View Full Version : agoraphobia question
I have noticed recently that when I go out ( ie at lunchtime around the shops etc) that I feel quite anxious and unreal. It is quite strange because I'm ok at work and when I'm at the pub with friends or with my boyfriend. Does this sound a bit like mild agoraphobia, I don't know too much about agoraphobia really?

We all make places our safe zones and other places become a nightmare.
E.G. I travel to and from work ok but going on holiday makes me feel agoraphobic cos I am away from my safety zone.
This is probably how you are feeling.
Have a read of this from my website (if you haven't done so already)

Hi Hazel,
Doesn't sound like agoraphobia. Sounds like you're anxious and outside of your comfort zone alone.
To overcome it - do it more

Anxiety is a thin stream of fear trickling through the mind.
If encouraged, it cuts a channel into which all other thoughts are drained.
