Hi I am a newbie having discovered the site a few months ago after being diagnosed with GAD however I believe I am suffering from HA and this site has saved me. My diagnosis came after a series of panic attacks as I was convinced I had MS, MND and a stroke! I am now on citalopram which seems to help.

I am hoping there are some members who may be able to offer some advice regarding my symptoms. I will try and make my story short!

Basically I have had a stiff neck and wrist pain on and off for around 2 years. Coincidentally the last couple of years have been really sressful. When the whole of my right side became stiff and i had a shooting hot pain in my upper right arm I decided to self refer to our staff physio (I work in a hospital - not great when suffering from HA!). She said I probably had RA or OA which opened a can of worms. She asked me to go to GP for blood tests and my ESR was raised which the doc said was still within bounds of normal but the physio kept saying wasn't. This tipped me over the edge and I developed acute anxiety symptoms of tingling all over, joint pains, chest pains etc.

I was then referred to a hand specialist and he diagnosed carpal tunnel. I had an injection which has made my symptoms worse. During this time I started yoga classes and I found some posture exercises on Internet which have helped with stiffness but the nerve pain is still there. I also saw an Alexander Technique lady and that helped too. Unfortunately yoga has not been on due to Xmas hols and today I feel really rubbish and the anxiety symptoms are coming back.

I don't know what to do next?

The hand specialist says he will refer me for an MRI but the thought that I may have arthritis is terrifying me.

Shall I see a chiropractor? But I don't want my neck cricked!

Or shall I see an osteopath?

Or shall I just see if the yoga and Alexander Technique works long term. I am positive my symptoms are din to bad posture.

Any views or advice would be much appreciated.

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place - please feel free to move.

Sending all those suffering a big hug we will conquer this!
