Ok so when I am having anxiety during the day I can usually hold it at bay with distraction and other techniques but how do you deal with the panic that happens right when you open your eyes in the morning? This morning I woke up and was in a panic attack instantly I worrying about sudden cardiac death really bad right now (see my previous post) and I can't shake the feeling that I won't make it to ring in the new year

On the mornings that I wake up anxious, I get out of bed and recognize the symptoms for exactly what they are - anxiety. I find that journaling helps me to get out my negative and irrational thoughts. I often come on here and post, trying to help others. That makes me think more rationally. Deep breathing also helps. The more attention that in give to the symptoms of anxiety, the less likely that they disappear. It takes practice but it eventually gets easier.
What types of things are you doing to help your anxiety?
