Hi all

Am going back to work on Monday after 8 weeks off sick due to anxiety/depression episode. Last few days have felt very anxious on and off and this morning feel right back at square one with the usual stomach churning and nausea following a night of weird dreams and waking up with the mind chatter.

I know it's anxiety but I love my job and my colleagues are great. Just thought with feeling so well last few weeks that it wouldn't affect me quite so much.

Any tips or advice?

I find a lot of people WITHOUT anxiety feel a bit nervous going back to work after a long time off, so it's nothing unusual. Be kind to yourself and don't let it worry you that you feel anxious. You're making a really positive step going back, and I'm sure when you're there you'll find it easier than you expect. Good luck!

Hey good luck with going back, I think it's hard the first day back, the feeling is only temporary and once you get there you may feel fine, at least I did when I went back last week, the first push is very hard and caused me alot of anxiety, I tried distracting myself with games, talking to friends on the phone, cleaning etc.

Take each step as it comes. I get awful anxiety when I go back to work after a prolonged period off. Take a deep breath, remember that you can do your job.
