I've just been prescribed Fluoxetine, I enjoy a drink (but don't abuse it) and I want to carry on drinking, I've got a few nights out coming up and I don't want to have to become teetotal because of this medication, the leaflet says not to drink alcohol but doesn't say it's dangerous, can I carry on drinking on fluoxetine? :/

If it says not to drink then there's obviously a reason for that. I wouldn't if I were you.
There have been a lot of people on here recently saying they have drunk while on meds and the next day their anxiety is sky-high and they feel horrendous.
Your choice obviously, but the leaflet says not to drink so I wouldn't.

Fluoxetine takes weeks to accumulate a therapeutic level in your blood. Ethylene will not displace it, deplete it, or interact with it directly, but ethyl alcohol is a depressant and with a suitable volume will nock you down for a day or two. The more frequently you do this, the longer and harder it will be to recover, until over time, fluoxetine will lose it`s effectiveness.

Moderation and staggering your partying frequency will win out for you. :)
