My son has had a lump above his ankle for about a year. He plays hockey and the lump started it was as big as a pee now it's 2cm by 3 cm. he has had blood work, x rays, ct scan, MRI, bone scan and it has been clear that it's not cancer. It seems to only hurt him when he has his skates on otherwise it doesn't affect him at all. I'm still worried it could be cancer because it gets bigger when the lump gets irritated. So my question is is can a bone with ossification get bigger and not be cancer?
