Hi.
Recently experienced something and wanted to share it with whom it may concern.
I had been taking 20mg fluoxetine with 400mg bupropion daily for 8 weeks.
At 8 weeks I hadn`t lost sexual interest and desire to engage. But after stopping the bupropion, I found I still had interest, but lost all desire. I have not had the desire to engage, so I don`t know if I can follow through, if you get me.

I`ll be starting a new investigational drug in the next few days so i`m not concerned about it at this time. [link to thread] http://www.nomorepanic.co.uk/showthread.php?t=142857

Bottom line... bupropion can restore a good amount of lost desire/ability for sexual activity lost from low dose SSRI treatment... in my experience.

Hope this helps someone. :)

Bupropion unfortunately is only licensed for smoking cessation in the UK. There are some people who manage to get it prescribed off-label for depression, but only after a number of antidepressants have been tried previously. Its not generic either in the UK, so it would cost the NHS a lot of money to prescribe long-term.

Sildenafil (more commonly known by the brand name Viagra) is off-patent in the UK though - you can pick up 8 tablets for £2.50 which work a treat.
