hey guys, I have an interview for a job tomorrow and i am very nervous and fear my anxiety will get the worse of me, as it often does. Having said this, can any of you guys advise me any ways that i can prepare for this today in terms of staying relaxed i.e any methods to use such as relaxation, meditation etc.

What do you guys do when you have something like an interview to prepare for?

Many Thanks

God Bless

Hi Dave

The first bit of advice I can give you is......the interviewers will probably feel the same.....they are under pressure to get the right person for the job and believe me that can be quite stressful....I've sat on that side of the table many times.

Secondly, you need to do what you are comfortable with. Think about previous interviews, which bits of those were OK and focus on those.

For me....I tend to make sure I have good timings in getting ready and getting to the interview so there is no rushing, but I am not to early. I take all the documents I have realting to the interview..you know..the gumff that was sent and a copy of my application or letter.

When I get into the interview I take note of the names of the interviewers so I can use them in my replies....other than that..I try to relax and just let it happen. After I do reflect on my performance and try to think about what I may have done differently.

My view is that if I am getting an interview then all the stuff I do to get to that stage is OK (letters etc) then it is a case of waiting till the right job comes along.

Best wishes Dave.....if it is meant to be then it will

Cheers

Iain
