I got prescribed Melatonin, because my Sertraline was keeping me up. it's a natural thing the body needs to sleep. I've never heard of Atarax though

I've never taken it before, but its a strong antihistamine with the generic name of hydroxyzine.

It seems to have a fairly wide list of potential side effects, however. Have you tried natural remedies to help you sleep? You could possibly try nytol (non herbal) - this is another antihistamine which has fewer side effects but cheaper, and you can buy it over the counter. Its chemical name is diphenhydramine.
