this is what i had wrote about my self in 2002....

it started about july 2002,i had been feeling a bit off colour for a few weeks, but thought nothing of it,i liked a couple of beers after work, junk food, plus worked in a busy office,so i just thought it was a combination of those,i was getting headaches and feeling unwell then at the end of one day i was walking to the bus stop and felt as though i was going to collaspse i managed to get home and went to bed.i managed to get to work next day struggled through the day got a lift home and spent the weekend resting, but didnt feel much better, called the doctor out the following week, and she said i had a throat infection and very high blood pressure,so the next couple of weeks was on antibiotics and tablets for my blood pressure my throat infection cleared up and my bp came down but i did not feel much better!.

after a few months i had a head scan and also the standard blood, urine, chest x-ray,and ecg tests, and saw a specialist who ruled out anything serious and recomended diffrent medication and after a few months starting feeling a little better and returned to work in july 2003 excatly a year after i fell ill,but after a few weeks i knew things where still not right and struggled to get into work and home on a night i had been back to work for about 2 months when i got flu and never returned.since then i have seen 2 different doctors and 1 more specialist, who said i have depression, which i think i have not got.

most times i have managed to get out a little for a walk,or even a bit of shopping, until about april 2004,when i felt a lot worse, and apart from one hospital visit(which the specialist i saw told me i have depression)i have been housebound.

then nearly 2 years later i got diagnosed with GAD,and with CBT and the help of nurse i got much better,so far this year i have..
Got a job working in my local pub.
travelled around the country to gigs and meet lots of people.
came off prozac.
i think i am alomst back to normal,i still get the odd minor panic attack, which i can control and over in secs
so thats my story,if anyone wants to chat msn/email etc i am more than happy to help.i know how difficult it is and how help is sometimes hard to find,in 2002 i thought my life was over,it can be beaten!
