Hi everyone

I'm new to this forum & just wanted to drop by & say hello.

Have been suffering from anxiety for around a year now. Have had CBT which really helped but after having an allergic reaction to something last week I now have a panic attack every time I eat... So I'm not eating much which is making me feel worse.

Any advice would be great.

Hi and welcome MrsH. You have done well to get yourself help in the firm of CBT. I find it useful and years later still use the skills every day. There are all sorts of areas in life u can apply the skills which is really good.
That allergic reaction must have been difficult to deal with but you are doing the right thing in eating no also in recognising that not eating will make you feel worse, I suggest carrying on eating as usual & nip this in the bud if you see what I mean. This doesn't have to escalate into something that controls you.
Stick to the reality and to facts. It is understandable to feel some anxiety after something unpleasant happens so now is a good time to apply those CBT skills. :-)

You sound very much like me Mrs H! I always get panicky when I eat! Welcome xx
